About Evolve

Evolve Sport and Cycle is a locally owned and operated family business and the result of the combining two stores, Players Bench and Evolve Bike into one, with the mission of “Keeping Families Active”. 

Players Bench started off as five sports stores under one name. The stores were originally created in an effort to develop a buying group that would not only be able to compete with rising manufacturer prices, but have buying power for products that would then be affordable for families. Just like in sports, more is achieved by working together.

In 2014 the Players Bench group joined Sports Excellence with the goal of providing additional quality products and brands which wouldn’t have been affordable otherwise.  In 2017, adding Evolve Bike made sense and brought in an option under one roof for those looking for bikes to keep their families active.    

Although the names and locations may have changed and evolved over the years, the sense of teamwork and dedication that drove the previous stores has remained constant.  When you walk into Evolve Sport and Cycle, you’ll find staff who are as eager as they’ve always been to help keep families active with brands they are proud to sell. 

Community is family and without you Evolve Sport & Cycle wouldn’t be here today.  Our focus over the years has been, and will continue to be, to help meet the needs of today’s Northern British Columbians.  We are very proud to sponsor teams and events in our store-front communities, as well as the surrounding areas we serve online.
